Dialogo Contemporaneo
The Contemporary Dialogue (Dialogo Contemporaneo) Exhibition took place in Managua, Nicaragua in 2023, as an opportunity for the expression of contemporary art in Latin America. Sponsored by Banco Ficohsa Nicaragua, a percentage of the artworks sold was donated to The Ficohsa Foundation for Childhood Education for investment in infrastructure and furthering education through staff training and technology. .
ART APPROACH
Through her art, Mariu presents a model of independent thinking expressed in the abstract. Her pieces are the action of that thought, the way in which abstract thinking unfolds in daily life. This concept derives from her world vision, interweaves her paintings and forges her sculptures.
Mariu affirms that “the universe, or the multi-universal world in which we live in, is conformed by the interlacing of a single tether, manifested in the way we weave our thinking and emotions as a single entity.” Through that, She constructs picturesque fabrics, a system of communicating veils that are a paradigm of self-expression and general worldview.
